Job Duties:
As a PTC (Positive Train Control) Data Analyst, work with different departments like Signal, Network, HDC, Mechanical and Operations teams to perform root cause analysis for all PTC issues and provide solutions and get them to closure. Provide Systems Engineering on critical and complex problems identified in production. Provide solutions or work around for critical and complex issues. Be involved in providing solutions and design recommendations to systems. Be involved in design on Back Office Server (BOS) and Dispatching systems. Responsible for performing Safety Hazard analysis on the design and solutions provided. Involve in analyzing and reporting Safety critical issues and Derailments. Review Business Requirement Documents and the Functional Specifications. Prepare Test Plan from the Business Requirements and Functional Specifications. Provide technical support of existing systems using Access Management tools, Macros, SQR and Oracle RDBMS. Perform modification of Application Engine programs and Component Interfaces as and when necessary to support the modules. Schedule jobs and processes to upload and maintain data in the IDM system. Perform unit and end to end testing for the customizations done to the systems. Document all support tasks (test cases etc.) in adherence with CMM level standards. Design and write software technical specifications, write software code, perform unit testing, and support business solutions of varying degrees throughout the project life cycle including creating design documents, tracking and resolving issues, and updating design documentation in compliance with department policies.
Job Requirements:
Requires Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, or related field. Requires 2 years of experience with Positive Train Control (PTC) and Back Office Server (BOS) in job offered, Software Consultant, IT Engineer, or related occupation. Requires travel/relocation to various unanticipated locations in U.S.
Salary: The base pay range for this role is between $107,141 and $115,000 annually, and applicant’s base pay will depend on applicant’s qualifications, experience, and location.
