Job Duties:
Analyze the functional Requirements of the Positive Train Control (PTC) system and its components such as Back Office System (BOS), Onboard, Dispatching System and the Wayside Devices. Execute Test in Lab & field and Production Issue Analysis to determine the root cause and come up with solutions to make the PTC system more efficient and useful in minimizing the incidents. Analyze the production issues reported from the production, find the root cause of the issues, and provide possible solutions to resolve the issues in future. Author, analyze and simulate many production level issues in lab for Onboard, UPBOS, ensuring that they are working well. Provide go-ahead for deploying the application software on production environment. Discuss business and technical requirement specifications with business analysts, client and development team. Translate the issues reported from production to develop scenarios into Test Cases, perform peer review and organize test plan/test lab.
Job Requirements:
Requires Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Application, Applied Computer Science, or related field. Requires 2 years of experience with PTC Onboard and BOS, in job offered, Software Consultant, IT Engineer, Manager Testing, or related occupation. Requires travel/relocation to various unanticipated locations in U.S.
Salary: The base pay range for this role is between $91,312 and $100K annually, and applicant’s base pay will depend on applicant’s qualifications, experience, and location.
