LBRE constructs and maintains the Stanford campus, where advancements across the academic spectrum are made possible. Our work is founded upon the collective value of dedication, innovation, expertise, teamwork, and continuous improvement. We are committed to serving the university's academic mission, as well as preserving and enhancing Stanford's 8,180 acres, and pride ourselves on supporting the teaching and research of the university as ?€?Caretakers of a Legacy.'

Who We Are:
We are the Facilities Automation Center (FAC).

What We Do:
Modern building automation systems are built upon common IT hardware and networking platforms. The FAC ensures these platforms are highly reliable, secure, and scalable to meet the growing demands of our ?€?smart?€? campus.
We work with servers, clusters, switches, gateways, databases, end point devices, user interfaces, authentication software, and many more IT industry components.
The FAC team members are also masters with proprietary third party software used to create sequence of operation controls logic to operate the many individual processes within Stanford's buildings.
The FAC develops control system logic programs for maintenance and upgrade projects as well as provides subject matter expert oversight for large new construction and retrofit projects being implemented by contractors.
