Gallery Attendant - Protection Services

As a public facing gallery attendant within the protection services department, you'll help maintain a safe and respectful work environment with a focus on supporting an inclusive and welcoming space for all gallery visitors.

Required Knowledge & Skills 

• Approachable demeanor with a people-first value
• Work collaboratively in an equitable and inclusive framework with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds
• Comfortable dealing with conflict, de-escalation, and confrontation
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience in environments that include interactions with people suffering from mental illness and or under the influence of drugs/alcohol

Education, Formal & Informal Experience, Training Required, Certification, Etc.

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education required
• Current Oregon Department of Public Standards Safety Training (DPSST) Unarmed certification (or obtained within 30 days of employment)
• CPR & AED training certification (or obtained within 30 days of employment)
• Familiarity with access control, CCTV and fire systems
